Two people were arrested for multiple felony charges in East Bakersfield on Wednesday.
Around 6:30 p.m., The Bakersfield Police Department conducted a traffic stop at a home on Liggett Street, near Lloyd Street. During the search, officers found a loaded gun and body armor.
During the course of arrest, one of the occupants, 36-year-old Michael Fritz, attempted to assault an officer with a hypodermic needle.
39-year-old Mary Ochoa was arrested for stolen property possession, conspiracy and firearm charges.
Fritz was arrested for multiple felony charges, including assault on a police officer, felon in possession of body armor, firearm and gang related charges.
The officers involved were uninjured.
