A man and a woman were shot in northwest Bakersfield early Sunday morning, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. 

Police said they received a call about a shooting in the area of Calloway Dr. and Brimhall Rd. just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. 

Officials said when they arrived they found the woman with non-life threatening gun shot wounds.

Police said it is unclear at this time what sparked the shooting, but it happened in the parking lot of the Elixir Hookah Lounge. 

Police said the woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance and the man got to the hospital on his own. 

Both victims have minor injuries according to police. 

Police said no arrests have been made and the suspect was last seen running southbound on Calloway Dr.
