Two Sacramento police officers were shot in the line of duty earlier today around 11 a.m.

The officer's injuries are non-life threatening according to police. This shooting happened while law enforcement from across the nation laid to rest a Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Robert French, who was the victim of a recent deadly shooting.

Officers have reportedly detained a suspect who may have been injured but the extent of the potential injuries is unknown.
