The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting in East Bakersfield that left two people injured.

It all happened around 7:20 p.m. Monday night on Chico Street.

Officers were responding to a shots fired call, when they found the two victims.

Their injuries were determined to be non-life threatening and they were taken to the hospital.
