Two suspects were arrested Sunday for stealing farm equipment in the area around Stockdale Highway and Interstate 5.

Police found the stolen equipment in the trunk of a vehicle west of Shafter.

30-year-old Juan Trujillo and 25-year-old Esteban Villasana, both from Shafter, were arrested after police found probable cause.

Police also believe the suspects used a forklift to attempt to force entry into a shipping container. Both suspects were booked for grand theft, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
