The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects wanted for robbery.
On May 24, 2017 at 7:38 p.m., two suspects entered the Popeye’s Chicken located at 4360 Gosford Road, and approached the cashier. Suspect #1 pointed a firearm at the employee and demanded currency from the register.
The employee ran to the rear of the business, at which time both suspects began removing currency from the cash register. The suspects were seen running from the business and enter a waiting vehicle.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect # 1: White male, 20-25 years of age, 5’3”, slim build, short facial hair, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with vertical black stripes, and jean shorts
Suspect # 2: Hispanic male, 20-25 years of age, 5'3”, slim build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a “California” logo, and grey shorts
The vehicle the suspects were seen entering is described as a:
2003 black Mercedes 4-door sedan, with all 4 windows tinted black, aftermarket chrome rims, with no front license plate
