BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Two people are recovering after a shooting in South Bakersfield Saturday morning, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Officials said that around 2:23 a.m. officers were dispatched to the front of a business on Panama Lane near Wible Road for reports of shots fired.
When officials arrived on scene, they found two cars involved in a crash and 31-year-old and 27-year-old victims were found with gun shot wounds.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital.
One victim suffered minor wounds and the other victim suffered major wounds. He is listed in critical condition but is stable.
Police say they later arrested 23-year-old Julio Munoz in connection to the shooting. Munoz was taken into custody.
