According to a CHP report, a Volvo flipped Tuesday morning, resulting in a DUI arrest and a child being taken to a hospital with major injuries. 

The crash happened on Wheeler Ridge Road, north of Teale Road. Just after midnight Tuesday morning, 26-year-old Evelyn Flores Ocampo was driving a two-year-old girl when she lost control of the car, causing it to flip and land upside-down in a canal. The toddler sustained major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical then Madera Children's Hospital. 

Ocampo was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was transported to Kern Medical to be treated for her injuries. 

It is unknown what speed they were traveling.
