BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force announced the arrest of a 42-year-old fugitive wanted for a double homicide.

Officials said on Tuesday, Jose Zepeda Jr. was apprehended for a 2008 shooting at a party in Parlier. According to documents, Parlier Police Department had responded to a report of multiple gunshots at the party. After interviewing witnesses, police said that a fight led to the shooting of two people and Zepeda was allegedly the shooter.

Cops then found that Zepeda has extensive ties and family in Bakersfield and was living in a Northwest Bakersfield home.

On Tuesday, Zepeda was arrested at the home and taken to Fresno where he is awaiting disposition of his case.
