Unemployment rate in Kern County drops to 9.4% from last month, up from a year ago

The unemployment rate in Kern County dropped to 9.4% in November, down from a revised 10.2% in October.

The Employment Development Department said November's rate was above the year-ago estimate of 6.4%.

This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 7.9% for California and 6.4% for the nation during the same period.
