The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue is visiting Kern County to meet with local farmers and discuss future farming legislation.

Perdue is scheduled to have a roundtable with Grimmway Farms in Arvin later today.

He's expected to talk to them about the Trump administration's effort to rollback regulations on farmers. 

This year, Kern County was recognized as the top agriculture producer in the nation.
