A mail carrier didn't let rain stop him from doing his job. 

A picture taken by New Orleans resident shows a mail carrier in knee-deep floodwaters going from home to home to deliver mail. 

Some areas of New Orleans reportedly received five to eight inches of rain. 

Despite the flooding and wet weather, the United States Postal Service didn't take the day off. 

The mailman has not been identified.
