Officials with the Kern County Fire Department received a report of an abandoned house on fire north of Avenue A on 120th Street West at around 4:15 Sunday morning.
KCFD says when firefighters arrived, they found a 3,000 square foot home and detached garage fully involved in flames.
Officials added that several trees and approximately 1/2 acre of dry vegetation were also on fire.
Crews from Kern County were assisted by a Fire Engine and Water Tender from LA County.
Crews fought the fire defensively and worked to extinguish the fire in approximately one hour.
KCFD said a search of the burned and collapsed structure revealed no casualties.
A KCFD Fire Investigator responded to investigate the cause of the fire.
