The California Highway Patrol says that a vehicle veered off the road and rolled off the embankment on Sunday.

The car was going westbound about three miles from the mouth of the canyon near the Kern River. 

The man driving the car was able to get out of the car on his own. He was transported with minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

CHP is escorting one-lane traffic near the scene.
