Bakersfield Police are investigating a car crash on the 5500 block of Wilson Road.
The crashed happened, on today around 1:30 a.m. Officers responded to crash of a vehicle vs. pedestrian.
On arrival, officers found a man suffering from major injuries in the eastbound lanes of traffic. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical, but stable condition.
Police say the man was crossing the street southbound, outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a white Dodge truck, being driven eastbound on Wilson Road.
The driver of the Dodge truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with traffic investigators. It does not appear alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision.
