BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Ventura Police Department is searching for a 24-year-old Bakersfield resident suspected of a shooting in Ventura County early Saturday morning.
A VPD press release said Vince Romero allegedly shot a family member at about 3:12 a.m. following an altercation at the 500 block of Thoreau Lane.
Romero fled the scene and is still outstanding, according to the release.
VPD located a man with a gunshot wound to the leg in that area, who is expected to survive.
Romero is believed to be a Bakersfield resident and is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.
