BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A local veteran created a non-profit geared toward getting veterans active, in-shape and channeling their energy and aggression in a positive way. Saturday Ike Johnson, founder of L.E.A.N. 4 VETS, hosted a fitness fundraiser to raise money for local veterans.

At Saturday's event Johnson along with Austen Asbury, the current Mr. California bodybuilding champion, helped fitness goers learn gym fundamentals as well as gave them nutrition tips. The event was free to the public, but accepted donations for L.E.A.N. 4 VETS. They also held a raffle to raise money for the veteran non-profit.
