Hundreds of artists are painting The Marketplace in Southwest Bakersfield with colorful creations at the 20th Annual Via Arte Italian Street Painting Festival this weekend.
Over 200 artists are participating in the Bakersfield Museum of Art's biggest fundraiser of the year, expected to raise $100,000 to benefit the museum.
The event is free to spectators.
There will be live music and opportunities for kids to participate in chalk art.
The event will be held at the Marketplace 9000 Ming Ave. on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Festival Award Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
