There's still eight days before Thanksgiving, but a southwest Bakersfield church will be giving away hundreds of turkeys Wednesday night.

Victory Outreach Southwest Bakersfield Church said 500 turkeys will be given away on a first come, first served basis starting at 7 p.m.

Registration begins at 5 p.m. and requires identification or driver's license as well as a proof of address. 

Victory Outreach Bakersfield Church is located at 4704 New Horizon Blvd., just off Stine Road and White Lane.
