VIDEO: 10-year-old boy slides off water park slide, onto concrete at new California water park

A 10-year-old boy from San Francisco was taken to the hospital after he slid off a waterslide at a new water park in Dublin, California on Saturday according to KGO-TV.

The boy was treated for scrapes and released.

He went down a slide three-stories tall called the Emerald plunge. When he got to the bottom of the slide he flew up and over the edge and rolled onto the concrete.

The slide and the one next to it are now both closed.

This was the first day the new water park "The Wave" was open.

The city of Dublin said the slides went through extensive testing and were just permitted Friday. The manufacturer was on site Saturday and will see if they need to add a weight requirement or adjust the pressure or flow of the water on the slide.
