UPDATE (09/04 12:49 p.m.): AT&T service outage was the result of a lightning strike, and crews are working to restore that service now according to a spokesperson with the company.

A viewer in Kern River Valley contacted 23ABC saying AT&T cell service has been down since the storm that rolled through yesterday, Sunday September 03, 2017.
After reaching out to AT&T, a spokesperson with the company said they are looking into a network matter in Kern County, and should have more information shortly.
We are currently waiting for a statement from AT&T now.
