A central Bakersfield family was wakened by two, masked and armed intruders on the 600 block of El Toro Drive about 1:30 this morning. The alarm company notified BPD who was told gun fire can be heard in the background. The homeowner shot one of the 2 Hispanic male suspects, injuring one. The injured suspect was quickly arrested by police outside the home, upon their arrival.

The second suspect is still on the loose. The second suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 20’s, heavy build, short dark hair, black jacket, blue bandana, light colored hooded sweatshirt.
