Voters Caravan Parade "Drop It Like It's Hot" happening Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - — She Power in partnership with Inspire to Go Higher is endorsing the MLKcommUNITY initiative by participating in a Voters Caravan themed "Drop It Like It's Hot."

The event is on October 31 starting at 11 a.m.

The purpose of the event is to educate, inform, excite, motivate, encourage, and enlighten the community about election ballot information. As well as getting the vote out in a positive, fun, festive, and factual way.

There will be a ballot information fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The actual caravan will begin a line up at 1:15 p.m. at People's Missionary Baptist Church in the parking lot at 1451 Madison Street. The caravan parade will start at 1:20 p.m. and ride to the official Bakersfield College ballot drop off.

The first 50 cars will receive a free mask, they will be required along with social distancing.

There will also be cheerleaders, a DJ, vendors, and speakers. The event, along with van rides, is free.
