The Food and Drug Administration is looking into a multi-state outbreak of listeriosis linked to soft raw milk cheese made by Vulto Creamery.
The outbreak has caused two deaths and six hospitalizations reported since September 1 in Connecticut, Florida, New York, and Vermont.
On Tuesday, Vulto Creamery recalled its Ouleout, Miranda, Heinennellie and Willowemoc soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses.
The cheese is distributed nationwide but most of it sells in the northeastern and mid-Atlantic states including California.
