Warm and dry weather in Kern County the past few weeks have brought along problems at Alta Sierra ski resort.

The last few weeks have been very slow business-wise at the ski resort, and with bare spots appearing on the mountain, management has decided to close this upcoming weekend. El Nino and our wet season are not over yet, and with snow in the forecast for Sunday into Monday, there are high hopes that the resort will re-open. This has not been confirmed nor denied by management at the resort yet.
