A prisoner has died at Wasco State Prison after an altercation.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Anthony Jordin Guy Marks was in an altercation on July 18 at around 6:30 p.m, and was pronounced dead thirty minutes later.

An investigation is currently underway. The cause of death is still pending.
