Update: Gabriel Nobleza, an eighth grader at Pioneer School in Delano, has won the 2019 Kern County Spelling Bee after 31 rounds. The winning word - Piffle.

31 students from Kern County elementary and junior high schools competing for their chance at the Washington DC Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The Bee will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday March 4.
