The Thomas Fire claimed the lives of two people, including one firefighter. Today, a procession will take 32-year-old Cory Iverson's body from Ventura back to San Diego so he can be laid to rest.

According to the coroner, the eight-year Cal Fire veteran passed away due to "thermal injuries and smoke inhalation" while fighting flames near Filmore.

Iverson leaves behind a two-year-old daughter and a pregnant wife.
