Shreveport Police have arrested a woman in connection with a theft from a local liquor store.
On August 18, 2017, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to 420 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Thrifty Liquor Store, in reference to a theft.
Officers viewed the store video and observed a heavyset female conceal several bottles of alcoholic beverages on her person.
Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers released video footage of the crime and shortly after agents with the Shreveport City Marshals Office and Louisiana State Probation and Parole Office identified the alleged suspect as Sekonie Jones, 37, of the 3800 block of Murvon Street.
On August 24, 2017, Sekonie Jones arrived at Shreveport City Jail and surrendered herself to investigators. She was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Theft.
