The Kern County Veterans Service Department will commemorate “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” on Thursday, March 30 at 10 a.m.

The ceremony will include a presentation of Colors, singing of the National Anthem, musical selections by the Highland Scots Pipes and Drums Band, and remarks by Joe Drew, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran who served as a helicopter pilot during the war, and more recently served as a Vice President of Tejon Ranch Company. 

The event will take place at 1120 Golden State Avenue in Bakersfield. The public is invited.
