BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Westbound Highway 58 has been shut down Thursday morning following a crash involving a Caltrans truck.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Caltrans truck hit the Sterling Road overpass just before 4 a.m.
The CHP has shut down traffic at Fairfax Road.
The CHP reports westbound Hwy 58 is closed at Fairfax and traffic is being diverted off the highway after a CalTrans truck collided with the Sterling Rd overpass. pic.twitter.com/MbmjjksPDK

It's not known when lanes will be fully reopened.
