The Westside Church of Christ is hosting a hunger project where all meals will go to the Kern County Food Bank.
Members of the congregation will come together to package 81,000 non-perishable meals for hungry kids and families. The church will have help from Bakersfield and Stockdale High School students, as well as a veterans' group.
Westside Church of Christ's goal is to turn this hunger project into a larger campaign where they can steadily provide healthy meals for hungry families in Kern County.
The hunger project will occur on Sunday, December 11 at 10:45 a.m. at Westside Church of Christ at 7300 Stockdale Highway, and the public is welcome to come out to this event!
