The westbound onramp of Westside Parkway near Truxtun Ave. was closed on Thursday for hours due to road crews working on repairs.
Stuart Patteson, Operations Manager with the Bakersfield Public Works tells 23ABC that both sides of the Westside Parkway ramp (on ramp and off ramp) had previous damage and both needed to be repaired.
Patterson said that due to logistics and safety, they needed to fix both ramps at the same time.
