BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. — Looking to do something around Bakersfield for Mother's Day? Take a look at the events and deals from around town!
The inaugural run will take place at the Park at River Walk from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. There is a 5K run and a 2K walk that participants can choose from.
All participants will receive a custom finishers medallion, a finishers necklace for moms, and event shirt and a special strawberry shortcake.
The run is $40 for both runs until May 10.
Mother's Day Champagne Brunch:
Elements Venue & Banquet Centre
There are two meal sessions, the first being from 9 a.m. to noon and the second from noon to 3 p.m. Adults can eat for $24.95 and kids under 10 are $14.95. The brunch includes an omelet and waffle bar, carving station with prime rib, ham and tri-tip.There are also salads, juices, desserts and a milk chocolate fountain. Champagne, mimosa and a sangria station will also be available.

Cafe Med Mother's Day Brunch:
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, you can enjoy a champagne brunch with a carving station, omelet station, seafood bar and bottomless mimosas.

The Broken Yolk Cafe - Mother's Day Buffet:
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, mothers can receive two mimosas with there buffet or pay $5 for a mimosa flight! The buffet is $21.95 for adults and $11.95 for children. This deal is available at both Bakersfield locations.
