BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The National Weather Service- Hanford is issuing a wind advisory for parts of Kern County starting this evening.
The wind advisory is for parts of the county's mountains and desert and will impact Highway 14, U.S. Highway 395, Highway 58 below Tehachapi Pass, and Highway 178 below Walker Pass, including the town of Inyokern.
Some of the hazards include strong winds (20-30 mph) that may blow down tree branches, power lines and it could create difficulty driving conditions for high profile vehicles.
The NWS says the advisory is in effect starting Monday at 6 p.m. and will end on Tuesday at 2 a.m.
