(KERO) — The recent storms have been very good for those wanting to hit the slopes. Alta Sierra Ski Resort reports they've gotten over 48 inches of new snow. The resort plans to open Friday.

There are limitations due to COVID-19, so you must purchase your tickets in advance.

Meanwhile, China Peak Resort also got some fresh powder. The resort announced their snow removal crew got the mountain ready for this weekend.

The resort says it is important to check operations and conditions before heading up the hill.

You can check all that on their website or call Caltrans at (800) 427-7623.

And Mammoth Mountain got a lot of snow in the higher elevations. Three feet has already fallen and they expect to see up to ten feet by the end of the week.
