Woman arrested in deadly pedestrian hit and run

Bakersfield police officers arrested a woman after she struck and killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident Saturday.
 
It happened at 11:00 p.m Saturday night on the 300 block of P Street.
 
BPD officials say they arrived on scene and located a pedestrian in the road way suffering from major injuries.
 
Officials say the subject was walking southbound on P Street when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle and suspect fled and was later located and apprehended by officers.
 
The suspect in this collision was identified as Dulce Miranda, 26, of Arvin. 
 
She was interviewed by investigators and subsequently arrested for felony Hit and Run, Driving Under the Influence of alcohol and Vehicular Manslaughter while intoxicated.
 
She was booked into the Kern County Jail for the above charges.
 
The identity of the victim has not been released.
