A woman was arrested Monday morning in connection with a stabbing that took place in Oildale.

The woman has been identified as Abrianna Rey Ringgold.

Kern County Sheriff's Department officials said that they were called out at about 11 a.m. to the 400 block of South Oildale Drive.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with major injuries and later died.

Ringgold was booked on murder with no bail. She is due in court Wednesday.
