The California Highway Patrol in Buttonwillow has found the historic 1936 Diamond T truck that was reported stolen last week in Bakersfield.

On Monday around 3:30 p.m. officers with the CHP contacted the family and said they found the truck on Mirasol Avenue between Buerkle Road and Brite Road, just outside of Buttonwillow.

According to Officer Adam Taylor the truck appears to be in good condition.

The family has been asking for the community's help in finding it since last week when Claudia Casagrande said the 1936 Diamond T truck was stolen while parked in central Bakersfield on 20th Street, near C and D Streets.

Casagrande tells 23ABC her family bought the truck when it was brand new and it's been in her family ever since.

Casagrande says the 82-year-old truck is rare and historic.

Casagrande said she and her family are heading out to Buttonwillow to pick up the vehicle.

23ABC is heading to the area and will have more information on 23ABC News at 5 p.m.
