Officials say a woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Central Bakersfield yesterday. 

Bakersfield police responded to the scene yesterday afternoon at the intersection of 18th Street and Cedar Street. 

There, they found a woman suffering major injuries.

Police say she was in a crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on 18th Street. 

The victim was later transported to a local area hospital where she died. 

Her identity has not been released. 

Police say alcohol, drugs, and speed do not appear to be factors in the collision. They have not released any other information on the incident.
