BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield Police officials said they found a woman who was unresponsive inside of Maya Cinemas Friday night.

At around 10:30 Friday night BPD officers responded to Maya Cinemas on California Avenue after an ambulance was requested for a woman that was unresponsive.

Officers found the woman inside one of the theaters.

She was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Police officials are now investigating the death as suspicious.
