On 01/16/16 at approximately 9:40 pm, Bakersfield Police Officers responded to Kern Medical Center for a victim of a gunshot wound. Upon arrival officers contacted an adult female victim suffering from a single gunshot wound.
The victim was medically treated and listed in stable condition.
Officers later located a crime scene in the 4300 block of Balboa Drive where evidence of a shooting was discovered.
The suspect is described as a Black Male, unknown age, with a slim build. The victim reportedly fled the scene on foot.
