A woman was injured in a drive-by shooting on Saturday morning on Knotts Street, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies received a call about a shooting at roughly 2:30 a.m. They said the victim was sitting on her porch on Knotts street when a vehicle drove by.

As the vehicle drove by, KCSO says someone in the vehicle fired several shots at the victim. The victim was transferred to Kern Medical with a single gunshot wound to her lower leg.
