UPDATE (Oct. 16 6:50 p.m.) A candlelight vigil will be held for Mulley on Tuesday at Taft Highway and Akers Road at 6:30 p.m.

UPDATE (Oct. 16 10:41 a.m.) The victim of the accident was identified as 20-year-old Angel Marie Mulley.

A family member said Mulley, her boyfriend, and their seven month old daughter were driving home from a pumpkin patch off of Taft Highway.

Mulley's husband and infant had minor injuries.

Mulley died at the scene. 

The picture of the three of them at the pumpkin patch was the last picture they took before heading home.

According to court records, Franklin Villalta-Juarez who was arrested has several driving violations on his record.

In April of 2015 he pleaded no contest to reckless driving, he was sentenced to three years probation.

In August of 2015 he pleaded guilty to speeding.

In May of 2016 he pleaded no contest for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

In September of 2016 he pleaded no contest to driving without a license.

In October of 2016 he pleaded guilty to driving without a license.

23ABC reached out to Villalta-Juarez for a jailhouse interview, but he denied our request.

A woman is dead after a man reportedly attempted to pass her vehicle on the dirt shoulder, striking her car and causing it to roll.

The Bakersfield Police Department says they arrived to the 4800 block of Taft Highway just after 5:30 Sunday evening for a crash.

Witnesses say a black Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Taft Highway and passing cars using the dirt shoulder. When the car attempted to pass an SUV, it struck the vehicle and caused the SUV to roll over.

When officers arrived, they found the two vehicles in a dirt field. An adult woman was located in the SUV and died at the scene. Two other people inside the SUV were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested 24-year-old Franklin Villalta-Juarez of Bakersfield after learning that the Camry he was driving was reported stolen.
