A woman was killed Wednesday night after she was trying to cross Rosedale Highway out of a crosswalk.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman on a bike was crossing Rosedale near Landco Drive just before 10:30 p.m.
The CHP says the woman was not in the crosswalk when a Dodge Challenger, going between 50 and 55 miles per hour, struck her. The CHP says the driver could not see the woman crossing because the area is dark.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was cooperating with the investigation and was not believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
