A woman who was involved in a home invasion last year that resulted in the robbery and assault of an elderly person was in court on Tuesday.
On Dec. 12, Asia Davis was sentenced to 75 years to life in prison.
Davis was found not guilty in the attempted murder of Florence McKay, 81, back in October due to a hung jury, but was found guilty on torture, cruelty and kidnapping charges.
The robbery and assault happened in July 2016 when Davis and two others approached McKay's house in southwest Bakersfield pretending to need help. When McKay answered the door, the three rushed inside, shot McKay in the leg, held her against her will and ransacked her home.
McKay survived the attack.
Last month, accomplice Rayon Norwood was found guilty in the shooting and was sentenced to 130 years in prison.
