KCSO is searching for a gray or dark sedan after a woman was shot in Southeast Bakersfield last night.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on October 24 in the 1000 block of Smith Street. KCSO says deputies were dispatched to the area after reports of gunshots. When they arrived, deputies made contact with a 33-year-old female who wa suffering from a single gunshot wound to the ankle. 

The woman was taken to Kern Medical for her injury. KCSO says they are searching for a gray or dark sedan in connection to the incident.
