The woman who was struck and killed by a car in southwest Bakersfield Wednesday night has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office.
Tracy Lee Bergeron was walking in the roadway outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a car, according to Bakersfield Police.
Bergeron, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
A postmortem examination will be done to determine the cause and manner of death.
