BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A woman suffered major injuries after a car hit her in South Bakersfield Saturday night.
It happened around 9:05 p.m. on South Union Avenue, near Adams Street. CHP said officers found the vehicle and a woman laying on the road.
The victim was walking outside of the crosswalk prior to the collision, according to CHP.
She was transported to Kern Medical with major injuries. CHP said it is unclear if she will survive.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors for the driver, but officers are still investigating if the victim was impaired.
