The city of Bakersfield says it will continue work starting Monday of the Manor Street Bridge near Oildale. According to the city the bridge, which is directly over the Kern River, is in need of rehabilitation.

The work will cause traffic to reduce to one lane in either the northbound or southbound direction. Detours and alternative access will be provided during this closure. It may results in traffic delays if you are traveling through this area.

The work is expected to be completed by late July.
